About Mom's Necessities

Mom's Necessities was created because I saw how many new moms in rural Alberta were struggling to find the support they needed, especially when it came to breastfeeding.
As a nurse with over 12 years of experience working in rural Alberta, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges new moms face. Many don’t have access to the education, products, or professional help they need. I’ve met so many moms who end up back in the hospital within the first two weeks after giving birth, worried about things like latching, weight gain, or just feeling overwhelmed by all the questions.
Becoming a mom can be an overwhelming experience, and sometimes it takes a toll on your confidence. I’ve seen the relief in a mom’s eyes when I've reassured her that she is doing everything right. That’s what I want to help continue. I want to make sure moms have the right support to avoid unnecessary trips to the emergency room for things that aren’t emergencies.
That’s why I started Mom's Necessities. My mission is to give new moms in rural communities the support, education, and tools they need to feel more confident and less overwhelmed. From carefully chosen products to personalized consulting, we’re here to help you succeed.
We believe that no mom should feel alone on this journey. We’re here for you, offering support every step of the way.
